World Heart Day - Awareness and Care Tips!
Created by the World Heart Federation, World Heart Day, celebrated on 29th September, is aimed at spreading awareness amongst people around the globe to take charge of heart health.
Did you know that cardiovascular disease is the foremost cause of death worldwide, taking an estimated 17.9 million lives each year, and can affect people of all ages? Our hearts beat about 2.5 billion times in a lifetime, and it is important to keep them strong and healthy, like every other muscle in our bodies.
To mark World Heart Day, below we will discuss the types of cardiovascular risk, ways to improve your heart health and some vitamins to boost the immune system.
What is cardiovascular disease?
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a general term for conditions affecting the heart or blood vessels. It's often associated with a build-up of fatty deposits inside the arteries (atherosclerosis) and an increased risk of blood clots. But the good news is that CVD can be largely prevented by leading a healthy lifestyle and with food supplements. Heart health and immune-boosting vitamins may help prevent the risk of heart diseases, help improve blood circulation and support healthy cholesterol levels as well.
What are the types of cardiovascular disease?

Limit Salt - The Heart Foundation recommends less than 2,000 mg of sodium daily. Too much salt can lead to high blood pressure, which can cause a stroke, heart attack, and more.
Eat More Fish and Chicken - Chicken and fish often have less saturated fat than red meat, which is better for your heart.
